Online Studiosessions

Custom made guitar tracks for your project, collaborating over the internet

Nothing beats the experience of a day spent in a big studio recording live with a band. I’m lucky enough to have worked in a lot of Hollands best studios: Wisseloord, Bullet Sound Studios, Zeezicht, Power Sound, etc. However, these days the reality is that for most projects I might be better off recording in my own studio. Everything I need to record great sounding tracks I have at my disposal, I can work fast and at flexible times, I have a lot of instruments within reach and it’s a lot cheaper than renting a recording studio.

How does it work?

Emailing a mp3 file can be all I need to get started. We can talk about your wishes by Skype, phone or email. The tracks I record for you will be send back to you in whatever format you prefer using Wetransfer of Dropbox and I can also provide clean DI tracks for the parts I record, so you have can total control over the guitarsound.

A couple of examples:

This is the track Lens Flare off of EONs Analogue/Digital EP; the drums and bassparts were recorded in the large liveroom of one of Hollands best studios; Bullet Sound. The guitarparts were done in my studio:

A good example of a last minute online collaboration: The London based composer Moritz Schmittat got the details for a large German Bank commercial around noon, along with the request to have some something ready that same day! A few hours later he sent me the first version of the music so I could start recording my parts in Utrecht while he continued working on the arrangement in London. Before the afternoon ended I sent him the finished guitarparts and later that evening a mixed and mastered version was sent to the client in Germany.
